Lil Wayne

The rapper posted a $10,185 bond and was released from the Yuma County Jail. He signed autographs for fans outside of a bail bondsman's office.

Lil' Wayne's tour bus was stopped about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 22) at a checkpoint on Interstate 8 near Dateland. A narcotics dog detected drugs on the bus and a search turned up 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and an unspecified amount of the drug ecstasy. Also found was a .40-caliber pistol registered to the rapper who has a license for the weapon in Florida.

According to Lil' Wayne's attorney James Tilson, the rapper was not formally charged and is due back in court Jan. 25.

In addition, Lil Wayne was hit with more bad news in his jail cell yesterday (January 23) in Yuma, County Arizona, when he was served legal documents relating to a lawsuit surrounding his 1999 Bentley Arnage.

The California man accuses the rapper of owing more than $91,000 dollars left to be paid on his Bentley, which was being refurbished and repaired.

Lil Wayne is also the subject of two separate $1,000,000 dollar lawsuits filed by two Morgan State University students who were allegedly injured when the rapper threw money in the crowd, causing a melee.

Marion \"Suge\" Knight

Los Angeles city officials have requested that 200 members of the Mob Piru street gang along with Suge Knight be banned from Compton.

KVUE reports that the Death Row co-founder was one of 200 people that officials alleged to be members of the Mob Piru street gang. Officials have requested that the 200 people be banned from congregating, carrying guns, drinking alcohol in public or staying out past 10 p.m.

Suge Knight responded by calling the request a "publicity stunt."

"This is crazy," Knight told the Los Angeles Times in Thursday's editions. "I'm a 42-year-old businessman, not a gang member. I don't even live in Compton anymore."
